Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him, PBUH) was born in Mecca in 570 CE into the Quraysh tribe, a respected and powerful family in the Arabian Peninsula. Orphaned at a young age, he was raised by his grandfather and uncle. Known for his honesty and integrity, he earned the nickname "Al-Amin," meaning "The Trustworthy." At the age of 25, he married Khadijah, a wealthy widow, and they had several children together, including Fatimah, who became a key figure in Islamic history.

At the age of 40, Muhammad (PBUH) began receiving revelations from Allah through the Angel Gabriel while meditating in the Cave of Hira. These revelations continued for 23 years and were later compiled into the Quran, the holy book of Islam. Muhammad (PBUH) preached the message of monotheism, urging people to worship Allah alone and to lead righteous lives. His teachings initially faced strong opposition from the Quraysh tribe and other powerful leaders in Mecca who saw his message as a threat to their authority.

Despite the opposition, Muhammad (PBUH) gained a significant following, and in 622 CE, he and his followers migrated to Medina in an event known as the Hijra. This migration marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar. In Medina, Muhammad (PBUH) established a Muslim community and became a political and spiritual leader. Over the next decade, he successfully united the Arabian Peninsula under Islam through both peaceful negotiations and military campaigns.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away in 632 CE, leaving behind a profound legacy. His teachings laid the foundation for the spread of Islam, which rapidly expanded beyond Arabia to become one of the world's major religions. Today, over a billion Muslims around the globe follow his teachings, and his life serves as an example of piety, justice, and leadership.
